Access of Fisheries Information to Fish Farmers in Lake Tana, Amhara Region, Ethiopia

Lake Tana is Ethiopia’s largest lake which carries more than 80% of the total volume Nile River. The objective this study was to analyze fisheries’ access information and technologies in Tana. Raw data collected from four landing sites (Bahird Zuria, Gorgora, Metreabaworka Bata kebele) filled STATA by Nationa Fishery other Aquatic Life Research Center, Agricultural Directorate used. Then analysed using simple descriptive statistics. According result, most fishers (71.4 %) were male. result revealed that majority between age range 20 54 years. On hand depicts half (50.6 had no formal education, while others have been educated grade 1 up diploma level. 85.7% married, 9.9% them unmarried. Fishing experience ranged 30 years, with mean 12.2 respondents (88 they got advisory services trainings woreda experts development agents. But, as well agents use camp visit get fish producers also arrange when some are busy on their job. So, efficient effective fishing practice concerned body has expand way transferring through electronic media, bulletins so on. need according fishers’ preferable schedule.
